Welcome again to my Blog! My real name is Robert (AKA: Netprophet). I’m…let’s just say over 50, and I have worked in the “real world” for over 35 years as a chef and Restaurant Consultant, Marriage & Youth Counselor, and Parent. I’m currently not involved in one single church but have been a Youth Pastor, Elder and Counselor in several different denominations throughout the years, as I have moved around quite a bit.  I was raised as a military brat and never lived in one place for more than a few years.  I’ve been semi retired for the past 6 years and spend my time cooking and teaching. I don’t claim to have all the answers to all the questions but I do have a lot of experience that I intend to share. This Blog is an effort to help those interested in sharing their beliefs on any subject which they are interested. It is my hope that others will join with me in sharing their knowledge and comment on the articles I post.  It is my intent for this Blog to help us all learn to communicate in a more productive way. If you’re interested in cooking and or food check out my other blog at http://ezgourmet.wordpress.com

We share some commonality. I am just about 50 and have worked for over 25 years as a restaurateur and chef (although I am hesitant to use that title as there are many areas that I am unschooled). I now run the food service department at a special education high school where I also teach culinary arts.

I am very fond of St. Theresa’s line, “God walks among the pots and pans.” Also, if I had read Brother Lawrence’s little book sooner I might have developed a spiritual appreciation for our field much earlier.

Yes it does seem as though we have a lot in common. And yes there was a huge misunderstanding in my interpretation of your post. Sorry!
I did come off a little harsh in my comment and I should have not reacted so quickly to my frustrations on the subject. I have no idea how I became linked to that site you mention. Maybe the evil one didn’t want us to meet. :>)
    Thanks,

Well, I think I may have acted a little too hastily myself. Anyway, going forward, I posted a little parable about a restaurant the other day. I’d be interested in getting your feedback on it, both from a culinary and a spiritual perspective. Just be gentle. ;)
